Enhance the adhesion of any opaque paint or coating with POR-15 Metal Prep.
Specially formulated for use on various bare or moderately rusted metal surfaces. This powerful pre-paint solution gently etches metal to create an ideal anchor pattern, ensuring the best bond for rust-preventive coatings, primers, or topcoats. Diluted POR-15 Metal Prep also works on aluminum and polished metals for opaque paint application. Use POR-15 Alloy Prep when using clear coats over aluminum, alloys and polished metals.

Reaction is faster above approximately 21°C (70°F); this is not a stated minimum application temperature. Keep the surface wet for the treatment time appropriate to the metal and rust, rinse thoroughly, and let the surface dry completely before applying Rust Preventive Coating. No numeric air or surface limit or fixed rain-free period is stated in the checked product sheet.
Check the air, the actual surface, overnight conditions and the full drying or curing period. The current product label takes precedence.
