WOOD CHARACTER / COLOUR COVERAGE

How much grain would you like to see?

Compare the three illustrative samples, then choose an appearance for more guidance.

Illustrative samples: translucent · semi-transparent · opaque. These are not manufacturer colour samples.

Translucent / natural

More wood grain and natural variation remain visible. The wood species has a strong influence on the final colour.

For stained cabinets, explore SamaN or Sansin Purity interior finishes. Confirm the complete stain and protective topcoat system.

Opacity and sheen are different

Opacity describes how much of the underlying wood shows through. Sheen describes reflection. Compare both when choosing a finish.

The wood is part of the colour

Species, sanding, previous coatings and coat count change the result. Compare the actual finish on a discreet area of the same wood.

FROM IDEA TO FINISH

Keep the wood. Plan the finish.

Bring your colour direction, wood surface and preparation together before choosing a complete exterior or interior finish system.
