About this product range

SPI 2K Regular Build Primer is a 2.1 VOC primer mixed 4:1 with its specified activator. Coat bare metal with epoxy primer first. Mix the activator into the primer for a full minute; reduction with compatible urethane reducers must not exceed 25%. Pot life is 60 minutes at 70°F, and mixed material must not remain in the gun longer than 30 minutes. The manufacturer recommends a 1.8–2.5 mm tip and two or three wet coats, with each coat allowed to flash before the next.

  • SPI POLAR ACCELERATOR – QT

An optional accelerator where the SPI coating schedule permits it.

For experienced refinishers. Use only the product-specific dose; it significantly shortens pot life. Do not use in epoxy or assume every SPI coating accepts it.
