A matte-black single-stage coating from Southern Polyurethanes.
About this product range
SPI Matte Black is a two-coat polyurethane single-stage finish. Activator ratio controls the appearance: 4:1 produces an eggshell finish, 6:1 a flat black, and 8:1 a very flat finish with a slight grey cast. Use a specified compatible activator and spray a test panel first. Full flattening takes 6–12 hours; assess the sample the following morning. Stir settled flattening material thoroughly, wait 30 minutes between the two coats, and do not apply a third coat. Buffing or waxing changes the gloss.
