FROM PREPARATION TO FINISH

Your project sequence.

Use this as a planning guide. The chosen product’s technical instructions determine preparation, application and timing.

01

Inspect and prepare

Repair the deck and complete the preparation guide. Identify the previous coating and confirm whether it must be removed.

02

Choose a decking system

Select a finish approved for horizontal deck boards and your wood. Review its product data sheet and maintenance guidance.

03

Check the conditions

Confirm moisture, temperature and forecast meet the product requirements. Allow cleaning water to dry as instructed.

04

Test the colour

Try the complete finish on a discreet prepared area. Wood species and preparation influence the final appearance.

05

Coat manageable runs

Apply evenly using the recommended method. Work manageable sections and address lap marks or excess as the instructions require.

06

Wait before use

Respect drying and foot-traffic requirements. Keep a record of the product and colour for inspections and future maintenance.

FROM IDEA TO FINISH

Keep the wood. Plan the finish.

Bring your colour direction, wood surface and preparation together before choosing a complete exterior or interior finish system.
