SharkSkin® Wood Stain Stripper is a concentrated alkaline cleaner, stripper and degreaser for exterior wood. Its viscous formula removes solid-colour or semi-transparent oil-based stains and water sealers, along with damaged and discoloured wood fibres.
Where to use it
For exterior wood decks, wood siding and log homes. Not recommended for metals.
Preparation
Confirm the existing coating and follow the manufacturer’s dilution, dwell-time, rinsing and protective-equipment instructions.
Application and limitations
Read the product label and safety sheet before use. Do not substitute instructions for a wood cleaner or brightener.

No numeric air or surface temperature or rain-free interval is published in the linked manufacturer directions. Keep the stripper wet while it works, then rinse. Before applying a finish, dry the wood for 48 hours or reach moisture of 18% or less. That condition concerns the later finish, not permission to apply stripper.
Check the air, the actual surface, overnight conditions and the full drying or curing period. The current product label takes precedence.
