About this product range
- Reduce the need for aggressive compounding with 3000-grade 3M™ Trizact™ Hookit™ Foam Abrasive Discs for paint finishing
- These 3000-grade 3M™ Trizact™ Hookit™ Foam Abrasive Discs help increase shop productivity by eliminating the need for aggressive wool compounding pads and reducing polishing time
- Compared to traditional buffing, using 3M™ Trizact™ Abrasives for removing sand scratches can reduce the possibility of swirl marks, burn through, and other defects caused by more aggressive processes
- 3M™ Trizact™ abrasives have unique three-dimensional abrasive structures which are distributed across the abrasive surface. As the structures wear, fresh mineral is exposed, delivering consistent finishes and longer disc life
- They help refine curly Q’s, pigtails, and other inconsistent sand scratches
- Used damp, they deliver long life and less loading than dry sanding
- Foam backing provides plenty of control and consistent contact with the surface –great for preserving orange peel
- Allows technicians to refine paint scratches using a lighter dual-action sander instead of a heavier polisher
- When used with other 3M™ Trizact™ abrasives and a 3M™ Perfect-It™ Paint Finishing system, they can reduce overall polishing time
- When using a dual-action sander, make at least five passes with 50% overlap
- Available in 3-, 5-, and 6-inch diameter discs as well as 2 3/4 x 5 1/2-inch sheets
